Get ready to show off your skills and be part of one of the Central Highlands’ most loved traditions — the Emerald Agricultural Show competitions! From the paddock to the pavilion, we’re calling on locals of all ages and experience levels to enter their best work across our wide range of sections, including agriculture, livestock, cookery, photography, arts, handicrafts, horticulture and more.

Entries for all competitions will open early in 2026 via the Showday Online platform. Please take note of our updated hand-in dates and check the Competition Guidelines carefully before submitting your entries.

Every exhibit helps tell the story of our region’s creativity, skill and pride — from the sparkle of the Pavilion to the excitement of the Centre Ring. Take time during the Show to explore the displays, admire the incredible local talent and cheer on competitors in the horse and stud cattle arenas.
All entries except for Woodchop and Scarecrow Trail are made through Showday Online. Please see those specific sections below for details.

The Next Gen competitions are an excellent opportunity for young people to become more involved in their local agricultural show and community.
