The Handicraft Section of the Emerald Show celebrates the creativity, skill and patience that make handmade work so special. From delicate crochet, knitting and needlework to sewing, jewellery, pottery, and leatherwork, every exhibit reflects the care and talent of our local makers.

This vibrant display brings together traditional techniques and modern designs, including our much-loved Natural Fibres Competition — a showcase of craftsmanship inspired by the raw beauty of the materials grown and produced in our region.

With sections for juniors and adults alike, there’s a place for every creator to share their work and be part of this colourful celebration of community artistry. Each entry tells a story of passion, persistence and pride — stitched, spun, or sculpted by hand.
