If you are having problems entering your competition entries, please visit us at the show office and we can help you through the process. Please note, in 2025, we will require entries to be finalised the day before the drop-off times indicated in the schedule.
We have lots of FREE entertainment. Make sure you visit the family corner, HIA pavilion and community stage, all of our section pavilions, there is something happening all day in our main ring and cattle ring.

Sideshow alley is run by the Showman's Guild. All rides and food vendors are owned by independent business owners and price their rides/food separately.
The Tuesday night show is big, noisy and fast, cheer on the local teams in the annual Cotton Picker Pull, enjoy our main ring entertainment and finish off with a BIG BANG of FIREWORKS before the band kicks on until midnight.
Lost property usually finds its way to the Show Office where we will contact you if the item has a name and phone number on it. Lost items are held in the office for approximately 2 months.
With animals on the grounds, we make sure that we have hand wash stations. It is located next to the Emerald Car Club, close to the Animal Farm.
Hand washing facilities are also located in the public amenities blocks on the grounds - behind the Bob Ingram Bar, the Photography pavilion and in the competitors area.
For emergencies, major accidents or health concerns, please contact OOO. Please also contact them Emerald Show Office on 0448 824 333 if we need to arrange ambulance access onto the showgrounds. For minor first aid, please visit the Emerald Show Office.
We have a filtered water bottle fill station, beside our Show Office at the Wally McKenzie House.
The accessible toilets on the showgrounds are at the Wally McKenzie House. Check our map for the location.
We have a designated area for the public. It is located behind the main grandstand near the Bob Ingram Bar. Take a look at our map for details. Please do not smoke or vape anywhere else.
Our ATM booth is close to the ring, between the Bob Ingram Show Bar and the Photography Pavilion.
Commonly known as the Show Office, we are located in the Wally McKenzie House, near the Emerald Car Club and Show Animal Farm.
We have a Parents room located on the Showgrounds in the white toilet block, closest to the Photography Pavilion entrance.
If you are coming as a group or family, we suggest that you have a "if we get lost or separated, where will we meet" plan.
For small children, we recommend that they have their carer's details on them so we can contact them quickly. The show office is the best place for lost people as we have the ability to contact the Police, security and gate volunteers as well as get the message out via the announcement speakers and our show app. The Show Office is located in the Wally McKenzie Hours near the Animal Farm.
Whilst we love our fur friends, no you cannot bring a dog onto the grounds, unless it is competing or a registered assistance dog and you have the appropriate paperwork.
Any dogs found roaming the grounds will be caught and handed to the Council.
The Emerald Show Society does not cater for general camping throughout the year, however camping is available for some of our entertainers, competitors and exhibitors by arrangement during show time. Please contact the office if you would like to arrange camping during the show.
The Emerald Showgrounds are managed by the Central Highlands Regional Council. For any enquiries regarding hire the grounds or facilities or for camping with animals, please contact the Council.
Emerald Show Society do manage venue hire for some of the pavilions, including the main HIA Pavilion, perfect for large events. Please contact the office if you are wanting to hire this space.
