Photography

The art of storytelling through a lens continues to grow at the Emerald Show. Each year, our Photography Competition showcases the incredible talent and creativity of photographers from across the Central Highlands — from budding beginners to seasoned professionals.

Capture the spirit of our community, the beauty of our landscapes, the character of local life, or the small details that make the everyday extraordinary. Whether it’s the glow of sunset over the paddocks, a snapshot of showtime excitement, or a perfectly timed wildlife moment — every photo tells a story worth sharing.

We’re again proud to offer digital submissions, making it easier than ever to take part. Innovation and tradition come together as photographers explore new techniques while celebrating the timeless craft of capturing light and life.

Check out the Photography Competition Schedule to find the right category for your entries — and show us your view of the Central Highlands.
