What is Flavour Fest?

Flavour Fest is the Emerald Show Society’s brand-new celebration of food, culture, and community vibes — bringing the flavours of Eat Street to the Central Highlands! Think multicultural eats, bar, live music, a low n slow smoker showdown, camp oven cooking comp, and plenty to keep the kids happy. It’s your perfect laid-back afternoon to soak up the last of the cool weather with great food, good tunes, and even better company. Grab a seat, bring a picnic rug, and settle in for a deliciously relaxed afternoon out!

Do I need to pre-purchase tickets?

No! We're keeping things simple for this event, just pay by cash or card at the gate when you arrive. Every paying adult will also get an 18+ wrist band to purchase drink tickets.

How much are tickets?

All 18+ adults will be $10 entry. Under 18s are free. Please bring ID to get an 18+ wrist band to purchase drinks at the bar.

Card or Cash?

Accepted Answer

We will take either however we will have limited change so if everyone tries to pay with $50 notes, it puts increase pressure on us. Please bring a variety of notes. Paying by card sometimes ensures speed of service, increased security and ease of transactions at the Bar, Food Outlets and Vendor Stalls. 
There will be no ATM or cash out facilities on site.

Is this event family friendly?

Absolutely! Under 18s are free to enter, there will be a range of (free and paid) activities for the kids and our entire venue (except the cooking competition areas) is licenced so no need to keep separated between the bar and your family (unless you like it like that?)
There will be seating available but feel free to bring a picnic rug to set up a spot to enjoy the food, drinks and good vibes.

Safe and Inclusive Space

Emerald Flavour Fest is a safe and inclusive space for all patrons, vendors, staff and performers. We encourage participation from all members of the community free from prejudice and discrimination. We strongly urge anyone who sees something out of place to report this to staff so appropriate action can be taken.

Emerald Flavour Fest is run by volunteers of the Emerald Show Society and we would love some more help. You will get to meet great crew and be a part of the Flavour Fest family!

Weather

Flavour Fest will take place in and around the spacious HIA Pavilion and adjacent areas. Whilst there is plenty of shelter, plenty of warm smokers and camp ovens doing their job and great food and drinks to keep you warm it is still the back end of winter and could always be a bit chilly. Dress appropriately, keep warm and drink responsibly. The show will go on rain or shine.
